WHY DO WE PROMOTE A CAGE? With a lot of gas installations done,we had a lot of requests where a client would ask "DO I REALLY HAVE TO GET A CAGE?   Well by law you are not forced to have a cage according to the SANS 10087-1:2013 edition 6.It states that:   5.10.3-Domestic Installations do not require that the cylinders be placed in a cage but shall be secured in such a manner so as not to accidentally fall over.HOWEVER WHERE PUBLIC ACCESS TO THE CYLINDERS IS POSSIBLE,THE CYLINDERS AND MANIFOLD,IF FITTED,SHOULD BE IN A LOCKED CAGE OR FENCED...
